The Millings - Facilities
Facilities
As well as luxury accommodation and stunning grounds, we at the Millings also feel it is important to get our residents engaged and involved in the local environment. As said by our Activities Coordinator, Anthea;
‘Health is important but the social and emotional well-being of all our residents is also a priority so we listen to the wishes and ambitions of our residents and develop activities that they can enjoy individually or together’
The Millings location, just off the high street in Bedale means residents can pop out to the shops or village whenever they wish and enjoy the many facilities on their doorstep. As well as shops, Bedale is also home to a beautiful church with grounds, parks and a large library, all within walking distance.
Our residents are keen to be active, that is why we invest time and resources in developing a great range or activities. There is something for everyone and if there isn't then we create something new!
- We have 6 activity coordinators across both sites,all of whom have a wide range of interests and complementary skills
- We provide one-to-one, group activities and outings, including weeks and weekends, day and evening
- We have our own wheelchair accessible vehicle
- We listen and respond to residents requests
Our staff accompany residents if they are wary of going somewhere alone or have a specific request.
Meals
We understand that no two people like the same food, especially when dietary and medication requirements need to be considered. That’s why, at the Millings we have a professional team of in house caterers that provide nutritious and tasty meals, freshly prepared and personalised to the requirements of each individual resident.
