THE ROOMS AND GARDENS
As well as an extensive
lawn to the front of St Annes with an array of flower beds and sitting
areas, a private patio area to the rear offers residents a peaceful spot
to relax. Its seasonal hanging baskets and plants can be enjoyed from
the comfort of the conservatory.
All bedrooms have
been refurbished to a high standard, of which many enjoy private ensuite
facilities and seaviews. St Annes offers mainly single bedrooms, but has
retained ">some
double rooms for married couples or friends who wish to share.
Although our rooms are fully furnished residents are able to bring small
items of personal furniture into the home and may have their own telephone
installed if they so wish. Daily newspapers can also be delivered to residents
rooms, and many residents have their own televisions to allow privacy
in viewing.
All rooms are connected to a central Nurse Call System for the convenience
and safety of every resident, by ensuring an immediate response from staff.
All rooms on the upper floors are reached by either a central stairway
or by using the passenger lift. Elderly people who may be a little wary
of lifts are accompanied by staff and they seem to become very confident
in using the lift in a very short time.
">
St Annes has three lounges with panoramic seaviews, a conservatory and
dining room. Meals may can be taken in the dining room, or some residents
prefer to eat together in smaller groups in the lounges. Meals may also
be taken in bedrooms, if required. All our meals are freshly prepared
using fresh produce supplied by local tradesmen. We do try to cater for
all tastes and diets, especially where residents are on diets that relate
to specific medical conditions.
The
bathrooms are situated in all main areas and floors of the building and
we also have a shower room. A comprehensive range of bathing equipment
provides the freedom to enjoy the luxuries of bathing independently, or
with the level of assistance you require to bathe in comfort and privacy.
Toilets are also easily accessible where residents do not wish to return
to their rooms to use their own personal facility, where available.
Take
a Virtual Reality view from the front
garden.
