St Johns House, Kirk Hammerton, Yorkshire
Who We Are
St John's House was originally built in 1910 and is nestled in the beautiful village of Kirk Hammerton just on the outskirts of York. The attractive Tudor style building has been completely refurbished to provide modern, luxurious facilities within a classic setting. Home to 34 residents, the tranquil setting is even home to several chickens, offering fresh and organic eggs each morning!
Situated in-between Harrogate and York, St John’s House is in the perfect location for families on both side of the A59 and is easily accessible. St John’s house has an open door policy, meaning that family and friends can come and visit whenever they like and we can also arrange for the residents to visit you at your home too.
St John’s House also benefits from having a dedicated Respite service, allowing residents to come and stay on a day by day basis. We appreciate that choosing a new home is not an easy decision and sometimes, the best way to help make that decision easier is for you to come and try the home out before you commit. Thanks to our Respite service, we encourage residents to do exactly this so that both the resident and their families are happy and comfortable with everything.
Why Us?
Our latest achievement for a group of the St John’s House residents is our choir. St John’s House officially has the ‘World’s Oldest Choir’! You can find us in the Guinness Book of Records and we are always on the lookout for new residents to join. Find out more about our achievements here.
