The home has a passenger lift to give you effortless access to the upper floor while all public areas have been designed in consultation with Occupational Therapists to ensure you can get about easily and confidently.
So, you can meet with your fellow residents and friends; take part in any of the many activities or simply to pop out to the garden or shops whenever you want.
Fine Cuisine
Meal times are something to savour at the Millings, especially with the fine cuisine served up by our highly talented Chef. You can look forward to meals freshly prepared in fine Yorkshire tradition and served in any one of four lounges, two lounge/dining rooms, one dining room or your own room – whichever suits you best. And, if you have any special dietary requirements, don’t worry. We’ll be happy to cater for them.
Luxury Facilities
We want your life with us to be as enjoyable and care free as possible. Relaxing couldn’t be easier with the range of lounges and sitting rooms inside the home.
If you prefer the outdoors you’ll find numerous peaceful and quiet sitting areas within the spacious grounds. Each has tables, chairs and sunshades so you can enjoy them in both spring and summer.
The home itself retains the timeless character of its 400 year old rectory origin, which combined with the stylishly redesigned interior give you all the modern facilities you’d expect from a luxury care home.
This includes our state of the art hydrospa where you can luxuriate in the soothing warm waters. You don’t even have to climb in as the hydraulic powered seat makes gliding in and out both effortless and safe.
And for a bit more pampering you can book a session with the beauty therapist, chiropodist or hairdresser who all visit regularly.
A full Range of Activities
We don’t know if it’s the Dales water or all the fun activities, but several of our residents are over 100 years old and still having the time of their lives. One of our residents Winnie, completed the Race for Life charity 5k challenge aged 103. Amazing!
Whatever you fancy you’ll always find lots of things to do here.
